World Card Making Day

Yesterday was World Card Making Day! I joined the fun and made a card, as many others did all around the world.
You can read all about it here:
http://heroarts.com/blogs/club/
Besides some information, you can find fun links to other sites wich are important for this special event!
And here is my card:

Last friday I was so happy: I found the new paper pad "Aspen Frost" by Basic Grey. The striped paperand the left is from that paper pad. The snowflake is a die cut by Provo Craft for Cuttlebug and the little heart is also a die cut by Joy Crafts. The stamps used are by Hero Arts: S5069 Stunning Snowflakes and the sentiment C3159 Sending Love. The sketch used as a guide to make this card is given by Hero Arts on their blog.
Hope you like it!

Last week we went to Zuid-Limburg. It's a beautiful part of our country! There are a lot of trails for walking. We went there to walk trough the meadows between the cows, through the fruityards, over the hills....we had a wonderful time! There's a very small river called "De Geul". This is a bridge over that river.

Some information about the river "Geul".

As you can see....very small indeed.

Saw some wonderful berries.

Be back later this week to see more of Zuid-Limburg.

As I promised last week I show you another fun project I made last week. When we went to a swimming pool a couple of weeks ago, my son bought an ice cream. When I saw the box of this ice cream I almost shouted of joy! It's a very beautiful box isn't it?! And I immediately saw some possibility's. So , of I went to the shop! I bought one too. And I can tell you...it's delicious. It has some fruit in it and it is covered with dark chocolate! Super yummy!

For this idea you only need a pencil, scissors and glue! Thats what I like about this kind of projects: it can be made with very little supplies. Of course it need to be cut apart at both sides. Then lay it down on a piece of paper you like, and trace a line around it. After that you can cut it out and glue it together as the original box was.

I used the orange variation of this Yillibean Soup Staples paper. I embellised it with some flowers, made with stamps by Hero Arts and a brad by Xenos.

And then I have to show you what I keep inside the box.......Yes, I need some spectacles shortly...just for cutting out some shapes! Hope you liked this! Thanks for looking!

Today I want to share a fun project with you.
But first I have to tell that my family always is laughing at me because of a strange habit. When I see a box with a nice shape I always want to save it instead of trowing it away. So you can imagine that my house is full of boxes in all sizes. Lately I saw this little box and I thought: I can make a lovely little present of it by using the shape. It is very easy to do. No need to buy expensive books or download patterns.
You only need a box, a scrap of paper and scissors and glue. Lay the shape down on a piece of paper as you see here below. Draw a line around it and cut it out. After that, glue it together as the original box was.

The final thing is, to add some embellishments as you like. I used the little bees of a stamp set by Hero Arts. It is called: "Be Happy". ( CL377) I also added a little tag, made with my cricut.

This is the inside of the little box. I can insert a little present of some candy.

Thanks for looking. Hope you liked it. Be sure to be back next week for another fun project

Berries and Bees
I like to show you some beauty's of nature.
Love the colors of these berries.

So fun to see how these bees come out of the flowers.
Wish you could smell the flowers. It's a very heavy sweet and spicy smell.
And they have so much tones of pink.

Utrecht
Recently we went to Utrecht, to buy school supplies for our children. What you see here is the "Dom" tower. You can climb in top of it, but I choose to see it this way. Made this photo at the roof of V&D. Of course, we ate some ice cream! I choose a "snickers" flavour. Didn't know it , but this is super yummy!!! They have a lot of pigeons out there flying around. One of them hit Caspers ice cream with his wings. We were speachless for a moment....

Later on we ate a pancake, down the street at the side of a canal. And just above my head I saw this. ( You can see a bike at street level, in the upper left corner of the photo)

It seems to me there are some nons singing with an organ. Although I've been there before I never saw it. I like it. At the left side of the terrace was the water of the canal and a cruise boat just went by.

We had a lovely day!!!!
