"Vrouwendag"

Our local church is organizing a day specially for women. Tomorrow you can join us. In the Ichtus Church in Lekkerkerk. There will be a wellknown dutch author: Joke Verweerd. She speaks about: "Onderweg op je gevoel". And in the afternoon, you can choose from a range of workshops, such as making flower arrangements, color- and style advice, hairstyling, working with felt, biblestudy, and I will give a workshop with stamps. Now, it has to be very simple, AND it must be done within an hour. It was a challenge to come up with something fun and easy. And finally decided : this it must be.

I made the lighter variation as an example for tomorrow. And the one here beneath was my first attempt.

The background is a Hero Arts background stamp: Friends definition. The poppy stamp image is "Creafine", and so is the sentiment. ( www.creafine.nl) the sentiment says: "A greeting with flowers and a smile, on this special day".
Colored it with Distress Inks.
Made more cards with it. And will post them in the next week.
Hope everyine likes it!

Faux Ceramic Tile

This is my seventh and last card I made as "homework" for the Online Card Classes 4. I learned so much by following the lessons on video. There were great tips and tricks to get more out of your stamps and dies.
This card is made after an example of Julie Ebersole. She showed a heat embossing technique to get the look of a ceramic tile.

As you can see there's a shine on this frame, wich is the embossing. The flower is a die by Memory Box. And the sentiment is dutch for "much love". This was so fun to make. I can say that I will use this technique again!
My little snow owl is peeking from the corner :)

Your visit is much appreciated!

Masked Stripe Backgrounds

Today I share two cards with a fun background. It is made with masking tape and Distress Inks after a technique by Tasnim Ahmed. I learned it from her in the Online Card Classes 4.

First I masked an oval and than added trips of note it strips. Added Distress Ink, and replaced the strips of note it again and again until the oval was filled up. The flowers are heat embossed with platinum embossing powder. The sentiment is HA. And there's a vellum swirl on it.

This card is made with the same technique.
Very fun to make. I always love the sea and being at the beach...

Thanks for visiting!

Shaker card

After seeing a lovely shaker card made by Lucy, I could'nt resist making myself one. I followed her example pretty close. It was so much fun..this time! I made one in the past and I considered it difficult than, but it wasn't that hard this time...thanks to Lucy.

Now I discovered today the new challenge at Virginia's Vieuw Challenge Blog: "Shaker Cards". Thats fun! This card I will post on Virginia's Challenge Blog, you can understand!
The paper I used is Basic Grey, the hearts are cut from gold paper with a SSS die. The word "Hugs" is Hero Arts.
In the card are beads and paillettes.

Hope you liked your visit here!
