Merry Christmas

With this blogpost I wish you a Merry Christmas! Hope you have a wonderful time with friends and family! Here you find a photo of my Nativity Scene.

The stable was made by my father. A good memory. He always liked to make things with his hands. The wooden animals are bought in a store with toys. And so are the angel, sheep, donkey and shepherd of felt. They can be bought at "Dille en Kamille". The wooden figures are made by me. And here is a card.

Wishing you all the warmth of loved ones! Thank you for visiting here!

Beautiful Bouquets

It is a while ago since I posted here. But today I like to share two cards I made for Church with a stampset by "WPlus9".

This Dahlia bouquet is stamped with Memento black ink and colored with Copic Markers.

This is the same Dahlia bouquet but now stamped with Versamark ink and heat embossed with WoW embossingpowder in gold on watercolor paper. Then colored with Distress Ink. The oval shape was made using oval dies by Hero Arts. They come in a lot of different sizes and they work great!

Star Flower

A little while ago I bought this gorgeous backgroundstamp by Simon Says Stamp: "Star Flower Backgroundstamp".
Here are two cards made with this stamp.

The first one is heat embossed with white embossingpowder, and the second is heat embossed with silver embossingpowder. It is super fun to color the image! Both are colored with watercolorpencils. So, first added the color with pencils and than went over it with a waterbrush. Loved it!

Bird and cage

Today I like to show one of the cards I recently made. The panel is made with little stamps and Distress Inks on watercolor paper. The cage is

cut with my Cricut machine. The bird is by Different Colors, stamped and heat embossed with white embossing powder, and also colored with Distress Inks. I like cages and I like birds, but I don't like birds in cages, so I put the bird at the outside of the cage. He can fly away if he would like.

Today I like to share a card I made with Hero Arts stamps. And I took inspiration from the last OCC : Sparkle and Shine.

In the background two larger stamps: Musical background and Sweet Treads Antique. Stamped them with Versa Mark and brushed Perfect Pearls over it. The sentiment says: Happy birthday in dutch. Its Marianne Design. The flowers are also Hero Arts -CL184 Thoughtful Messages- and so are the leaves. Stamped with Versa Mark and heat embossed with White embossing powder by WOW.

Sparkle and Shine

Here is another card I made for the Online Card Class: Sparkle and Shine. For this card I used my new Embellishment Mousse, with a color named: Powder Blue.

And no, it isn't Christmas, but summer is also a good excuse to use some sparkle. As I think of the sun shining on waves in the late afternoon, bringing a golden glow at the sea. And dewdrops glisten in early morninglight!

For this card I used a stencil of Donna Downey for Prima Marketing. The striped paper is "Dear Lizzy" paper. First added the mousse with a Ranger Distress tool. Than took some embossing paste in white and added a little amount of the blue mousse to it, so that the paste got the same blue color, and added it on the stencil too. I love the partial covering! And finally removed the stencil and added some Hero Arts Prisma Glitter. The " Hugs" sentiment is SSS.
The idea for this card came from Shari Carrol.
Hope you enjoyed your visit here!

Online Card Class

Last days I was participating in the Online Card Class: "Sparkle and Shine". This is one of the cards I made for this Class. To be more precise: for day 4. I made this card after an example of Debby Hughes. I am an admirer of her work.

The background is stamped with a backgroundstamp by Hero Arts, CG122, using Versa Mark. And covered with perfect pearls. Than stamped over it with a backgroundstamp by IO, CC050 C-A-C Script. The flowers are SSS. "Best Mom Ever" SSS130501. Stamped and white embossed. The open spaces are covered with a Versa Mark pen and covered with perfect pearls.
The sentiment is dutch and says: congratulations. I recently bought it this stampset with only dutch sentiments. Its "Marianne Design" CS0987.

Vielsalm

We went to Belgium for a couple of days. We loved it to be there again! This time we had a vacation appartment in Vielsalm. We were walking around in the hills and enjoying all the beautiful views.

Up in the hills near Grand Halleux.

I really love streaming water, this is the Aisne.

A crusifix beside the path.

And this is the card I made for our hostess. She was so very friendly!
I took some craft supplies with me to our vacation appartment. Flowers are SSS, sentiment is HA.

Daffodils

I enjoyed it so much to see the daffodils again this year! The bright yellow made me happy!

Made this daffodil bouquet with a stamp set by Simon Says Stamp. The sentiment is part of the recollections series sold by Michaels. I made the background myself with a Hero Arts leaves stamp. Stamped it with Shabby Shutters Distress Ink. And after that filled the gaps with the same color and water. The flowers are colored with Copic Markers.
Happy Spring!

No line coloring

As far as I remember, this is my first try on no line coloring.

It certainly is not that good, but I thought, I share it anyway. And thats because of the "30 Day of Coloring Challenge", on "The Daily Marker" blog. I am not sure I like to do this "no-line coloring"...Maybe I must take some more time of practising on it.

But, this flower stamp is lovely! It is Magenta C0643-P. Stamped it with "Antique Linen" Distress Ink and I also used Distress Inks to color it.
Thank you for your visit!

Coloring Challenge

Today I like to show you a card I made for the "Daily Marker 30 day coloring challenge".

Before I explane what I did and what I used, I like to tell this card is for my mother. She will reach the respectable age of 80 years at the beginning of May.
First I stamped the "Large Flower" CG134,  by Hero Arts on white paper. Than stamped the 8 and the 0 over it. CL042 and CL034. Colored it with Copic Markers and cut it out.
The flower is called " Loving Lily" and is is by Impression Obsession. The reason why I chose this flower is because Kathy showed how to color a Lily flower on the first day of the challenge.
I glued a feather and ribbon behind it, and two swirls. Cut with a die cut by MFT and cut from rosé gold cardstock.
I have to save for a while. And I hope she likes it.

Ranger products

Hello, spring is just around the corner, and I am ready for it! We got some sunshine today and I was outside and enjoyed it!

Here is a tag I made for the Simon Days Stamp wednesday challenge: "Tag you're it". The ladies of the design team were using Ranger products. And so did I, as you can see here.

As you can see I used Shabby Shutters DistressInk and than there are Ranger Clear Embossing Powder used for the stamped image in the background. Stickles with the name Crystal, its on the word Spring. And Studio multi- medium matte to glue my flowers on the tag. Besides that I used my Cricut to cut the word Spring and the swirl. And oh yes, for the flowers too. They have little round golden stickers as flower hearts. The stamp you see in the background is by Magenta. I think thats it.Thank you for visiting! Much appreciated!

A while ago I watched a video of Jennifer McGuire where she made beautiful ombre backgrounds for her cards. She also used die cut sentiments wich go in the same flow with the ombre backgrounds: gorgeous results! Here you can find her blogpost:
http://www.jennifermcguireink.com/2017/01/easy-ombre.html
It invited me so, to follow her examples!
Here is one of the cards I made.

New Year, Fresh Start

Happy New Year! 2017, a new year, a fresh new start. Hope it will bring the wishes of your heart. Last week we got some foggy weather and temps below zero, wich gives awesome pictures.

These photo's are taken not far from were I live. Our village is surrounded by meadows, and it is great to go out for a walk. Thats what we did on that particular day. I felt inspired by what I saw. At home I tried to translate what I saw on paper, using stamps and ink.

Here is another photo of that day. Hope you see what I meant by translate it to paper.

The stamps I used are Impression Obsession: F16235 Berry Stem. And two stamps from Magenta: M0732 and L0693. Inks from Colorbox and Versa Magic and some embossing to get that frosty look. And a white gel pen.
Thanks for visiting! Always much appreciated!!!
