Nijmegen

Today I was in Nijmegen. And I want to show you some photo's I made there. It was a day with a grey sky and some rain in the morning, but I had fun!
Nijmegen is situated along the river "Waal".

Here you see the "Waagh".

The "Stevenschurch" at the left side of it.

This is the "Latin School". It has statues with the apostels on it.

And finally me before the statue of "Mariken van Nieumeghen".It is a woman in a very very old play.
She is very famous in Nijmegen.
I'm sorry they sticked some stickers on her brest :)

Don't throw it away

Today I want to show you a project I made for the Moxiefabworld.
They have a challenge they called: Don't throw it away.
Now I am a person who saves everything, so this is THE RIGHT challenge for me!
You can read all about it here:
http://www.moxiefabworld.com/2012/03/practical-solutions-for-paper-crafters_22.html

On this photo I show you the item I saved because I liked the shape of it.
It is the plastic wrapping of a tooth pic box.
You see it on the right.

In fact, I already saved tree of them, and now ,I thouht , it was the time to use them for this challenge. I replaced the blue paper with some spring paper by Imaginisce.

By adding a sentiment and some embellishments you can make little presents of it!
Hope you liked it!

What is essential, is invisible to the eye

I made this card for a friend in Germany, after she told me about a book with the title: The Little Prince.
Although I am a teacher, and read a lot of childrens books, I never read this story. It is a kind of fairy tale for children. Written by: Antoine De Saint-Exupery. First published in 1943. At the back of the book is this:
"On one level it is the story of an airman's discovery in the desert of a small boy from another planet- the little Prince of the title- and his stories of intergalactic travel, while on the other hand it is a thought-provoking allegory of the human condition".
The little Prince is searching around for new things, but what is really important are those you love and care for.
I liked the secret the fox told, as can be seen on the card:
"It is only with one's heart that one can see clearly. What is essential is invisible to the eye".
