CAS(E) this Sketch

The sketches of the Challenge Blog : "CAS(E) this sketch" are very helpfull for me, so when I saw Sketch 122, I made a card with it. If you like to see more about it, please look here:

I had fun making this and it was so easy to do!


The sentiment used here is by Hero Arts. The pansies are by "Stempelmakerij De Voet" in Deventer, the Netherlands. The dotted paper is by Papertrey Ink and the banners are Simon Says Stamp. The pansies in the background are in my little garden. I love the variety they have in color!

Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all mothers who read this blogpost!
Hope you will have a wonderful day with your family. We had a wonderful day I can assure you. When we started, the sky was blue, wich is great after so much stormy days, and grey skies. We went to church and found out the theme for this sunday was : "Prayer". And we need that every single day!
After we came home, our daughter and son made brunch.



After brunch we went for a bike ride and finally visited my mother.
I made her a card as you can see here.

The Inks are Distress Inks. Wich used as watercolor paint.

Flight

This card is made for the CAS-ology Challenge Blog. The cue word for this week was "Flight". This is the card I made for the challenge.


My husband made a balloon flight once and he was very enthousiast! There are a lot of different patterns on the balloons we see here, so I thought it was nice to take a zig-zag pattern for this balloon. The stamp is a fun little stampset by "Unity Stamps", and the paper I used for the paper pieced balloon is by "S.E.I."

Favorite !

I am so honoured and excited to be one of the 4 favorites on CAS-ual Fridays Challenge Blog. The challenge was to make a "Krafty Bouquet", and use twine on your card. This is the card I made.



The flower stamp and the sentiment are both Hero Arts. The flowers are colored with Distress Inks. The pansies are on my garden table, so lovely!

As a reward you can display a badge in your sidebar wich says you are a favorite, wich I already did, and I feel very happy with it!

The birds nest is a stamp by Impression Obsession. The branch and the sentiment are stamps by Hero Arts. The eggs came from a very old collecters box.

Birthday candles

Today a card with the same technique as the card I showed earlier this week.
Used a stencil by "Dutch Doobadoo", added white color with a sponge, than repositioned the stencil and added orange colored ink with a sponge. So, thats how I achieved the background. If you like to read more about it, and were I got the idea, please read my former blogpost!

Wishing...

A couple of weeks ago I saw a super fun and easy technique for cardmaking showed by Jennifer Mcquire. Using a stencil and applying ink with a sponge, you can achieve a fun background, but by repositioning it again on top of it and sponge it again, you can even get a more wonderful result.
