Virginia's birthday

Today I want to tell you that I got some friends from all over the world.
How that come, you ask me? That's through a hobby we share: stamping!
We met on Hero Arts blog and Hero Arts flickr group.
Sometimes it feels as if we know each other for years, although we never met in real life. But it sure gives a lot of joy, sharing idea's, taking part in exchanges and so on.
One of those friends is Virginia. I got to know her a little better through her blog. She shares some funny stories and wonderful photo's, wich I LOVE to see.
She is having her birthday next friday. She will be 50 years than! And because it is very special occasion, she organised a virtual birthdayparty.
That's why I made her this card I show you here.
I used one of Hero Arts stamps of course.
And my reason to give it this attention is that I discovered through all this that we are of the same age!!!
SO....HAPPY BIRTHDAY VIRGINIA!!!

Deventer part 2

Yesterday I promised to show you more of Deventer. The first photo is an old church. Next to this church is a statue to honor those who gave their lives in the resistance during World War 2.





The next photo is a sculpture wich says that society always start with yourself.


And I liked this house. Its inspirational, isn't it?!


And as I promised to show you: This is a stamp I bought there and the card I made with it. The leaves is a stamp by Hero Arts.

Deventer

A while ago I went with my husband to Deventer.
He had to be there for his work. And while he was working I went into the city center for shopping. Actually, I was acting as a tourist, took some photo's and enjoyed the sunny wether.
I tought it would be nice to show you some old buildings in Deventer.
