Enjoy your day

Today I finished my last card for the Hero Arts Sketch Challenge of this month. I already made two cards with the first two sketches. This is sketch no.3.


The strip of striped paper is by SEI. All used stamps are by Hero Arts, of course. The circle is made with a die by Spellbinders and the banner is cut with a die from Simon Says Stamp.

Forever

Last week I made two cards with the "Forever" stampset by Hero Arts. In this stampset are some lovely butterflies, a beautiful flower and a wonderful tag with a bird on a branch. But that bird on a branch is also a separately stamp, so, on the firts card you can see it twice, if you take a close look.


The second card is quite similar, but I covered the lower branch with a sentiment, and added some music, because of the "singing" bird! I really love to hear the birds sing in this time of year!



This second card is made with a Hero Arts sketch, given for this months "Sketch challenge" on their blog.

Wedding Anniversary Celebration

Wedding Anniversary

Today Jan and I celebrate our wedding anniversary. We are married for 30 years! I can't imagine it is already that long, it is as if it was yesterday! Really! We finally decided to have a small celebration. And I made a few invitations for a "High Tea" party at "Het Zalmhuis" in Rotterdam.

In memoriam

In my previous post I told you about my father and about his illness. He was in terrible pain during his last days on earth. Last friday, the 18th of April, he passed away. He is in Heaven now. No more tears, no more pain!

He who dwells....in the shelter...

I like to share a card with you I made for my father.



My father is very ill, and he is in a lot of pain. It isn't bearable for him, and for us it is hard to see. Last saturday I went to the "Art Specially Event" and there I found this stamp. On sunday I stamped it and colored it with distress inks. And on monday I gave it him.
Here you see my family, now a week ago. My father in the middle and me and brother on the right, my mother and the son of my brother on the left.


My son made the photo. A happy moment. It was the last time my father went outside the house. I wish my father will find shelter and rest in the shadow of The Most High!

Noah's Ark

Last thursday we visited Noah's Ark. First we went to Dordrecht with the Fast Ferry. A beautiful trip over three rivers: the "Lek", the "Noord", and the "Merwede". Once we arrived in Dordrecht we went to Noah's Ark by foot.
