Birthday candles

Today a card with the same technique as the card I showed earlier this week.
Used a stencil by "Dutch Doobadoo", added white color with a sponge, than repositioned the stencil and added orange colored ink with a sponge. So, thats how I achieved the background. If you like to read more about it, and were I got the idea, please read my former blogpost!

The birthday candles and the sentiment are Hero Arts stamps.

Wishing...

A couple of weeks ago I saw a super fun and easy technique for cardmaking showed by Jennifer Mcquire. Using a stencil and applying ink with a sponge, you can achieve a fun background, but by repositioning it again on top of it and sponge it again, you can even get a more wonderful result.
Now, she can explain it far better than I do, so here is were you can find it:

And here is my first card made with this technique:

I used a stencil by "Dutch Doobadoo", and a sentiment by Simon Says Stamp, some vellum and silver thread.

Just for you

This card is inspired by Debby Hughes. I am a fan since I first saw her work and fell in love with her style of cardmaking. You can find her blog here:

And here is the card I made after her example cards, with yellow and grey.

The stamps I used are by Hero Arts, and the paper I used is by Studio Callico.

Happy birthday

Last weeks I am busy making birthday cards. I use birthday cards more often than other cards, so I thought, why searching for suitable sentiments? Lets make birthday cards! This card was for my brother, who lives in the area shown in the little windows, thats why! The card should be arrived by now. So, I can show it here.

I used my Cricut machine and "Life is a beach" cartridge. A SSS "happy" die and sentiment. And an old map in a calender.
Thanks for visiting!

Sending Smiles

Sending Smiles on Sunday! This is a card I made for Virginia's Vieuw Challenge Blog. This months challenge was to make a card with embossing. I love to heat emboss on my cards but I challenged myself to use dry embossing this time. I am not very excited about dry embossing and embossing folders and have only a few items of it. So, it was a real challenge. But now I am finished I can say it was fun and the result is OK.

The sentiment is Hero Arts and it is heat embossed with WOW embossing powder. The background is an embossing folder by Cuttlebug/Kars : Daisy Pattern. The butterflies are made with "Joy" Cutting and Embossing. And so are the flowers. The Leafy Flourish is MFT.
Pattern Paper by Studio Callico and MMY.
Hope you enjoyed your visit!
