Make lemonade!

Made this tag for the Online Card Classes :"Clear and Sheer". On day 3 we got some video's on wich we learned how we can use acetate for cardmaking. The tag I made was made after an example by Debby Hughes.





The stamped images are Lawn Fawn. Super fun! Colored it with Copic Markers. And the paper is from a small paperpad "Sunkissed" by Basic Grey. Thanks for visiting!

Clear and sheer.

Today I am sharing a card I made for the Online Card Classes " Clear and Sheer". It has all to do with using Vellum and Acetate on your card. By doing so you can get an airy look on your cards. This is my homework for day 1.


For this card I used Distress Inks and water to make a background. Next I die cut a swirl from My Favorite Things. Then embossed a sentiment by SSS. Glued it all together. The vellum strip came forward too far. So I added a drop of glue behind it. But then you saw the droplet of glue. So, I attached a little gemstone to it. It is were the "b" is :)

Antique Rose

Recently I found a stamp wich was on my wish list for quite a while: "Antique Rose Stem" by Hero Arts. I found it at " Art Specially Event" in Nijkerk- The Netherlands. And I found more: Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers! With these markers and the beautiful rose stamp I made this card.


I first stamped the flower using Versamark ink and than heat embossed it with Wow White Pearl embossing powder.


Colored the stamped image with the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.


Finished the card with a Hero Arts sentiment. And some black and white paper with little flowers.
Hope to join the latest Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge with this card. The theme is: "Girly"
I think this is a Girly card with the pink, the flower and the silver lining!

The Cook

Today was the last day of my job. The job as a teacher in the fourth group on our local school. This job, initially meant to be a job for five weeks, turned out to be a job for five months! But five weeks or five months, everything comes to an end, and for me that was today. And as I did before, in situations like this, I made a little present for the children. And that is what I like to share today.


The card I made is to thank my colleagues for their support.


The bottles behind the card are the presents for the children. In the bottles is pancakeflour. You only have to add milk, and you can bake yourself a couple of pancakes.


This is in the kitchen at school, this morning.

And a little explanation about the stamps used. The Cook and his equipment are from a stampset by My Favorite Things (BB Recipe for Happiness). He was the inspiration for all this. His name is Kos, and he is the owner of a Greek restaurant " Kostas". Oh no, not in real life, but in one of the method-books for the children. The children love him and the stories of his restaurant. So, and now on to vacation and some more stamping, ha!

Watercolored Anemones

I really love the "Watercolored Anemones" stampset by "Wplus9". Last weeks I created several cards with it, and with a lot of pleasure I must say!


This bunch of flowers I placed in a gorgeous coffee can by "Hero Arts". The little sentiment is from a stampset by "Clearly Besotted".

Sending some love.

Today I like to share a card I made for an aunt wich is seriously ill. Last weeks I tried out a stampset by "WPlus9 Design Studio". The name of this stampset is "Watercolored Anemones". I tried several inks and papers, using this stampset, and always get a wonderful result! The more I use it, the more I love it!


On this card I used VersaMagic Inks. The butterflies are Hero Arts. The dutch sentiment by Different Colors says: "Much love".

Groningen

My last blogpost was already months ago. So now I decided it was more than time for a new blogpost! And because my job for the moment ( a job as a substitute teacher) takes a lot of my time and attention, I think it would be nice to share some photo's of a little outing we last had. My husband and I went to the northern part of our country, to Groningen.


The tower is the "Martini" tower. It is wellknown in the Netherlands. It is the tower of a church, but what I like most of it is the little house at the foot of that tower. It is a sexton's house, now used as a restaurant.


And look at these houses, aren't they beautiful?!


I never before visited Groningen. So for me everthing was new, and I loved it! Lovely stores and squares.





And fine restaurants. What do you think of this one? It is more like a monument!
