I saw this grasshopper when we went for a walk in our little forest, this afternoon. Lucky me, I had my camera with me! I don't see a grasshopper of this size quite often, so I went on my knees to make a photo. Miraculous creature, isn't it?!!!

I want to share another memory of our vacation in France. Along the cost of the Vendee you find lovely white houses with blue windowshutters. They not use one kind of blue, but you can find a lot of different kinds of bluetones. Poolblue, lavenderblue, skyblue, greyblue, .......A lot of the houses have hollyhocks in their gardens. Super beautiful. I tried it several times in our own garden but didn't succeed. I think because we don't have enough sun and warmth. So, I tried to make a card wich expresses my adoration of what I saw. It is not a piece of art, but it has something sweet.

While we were in the Vendee we visited "Bourinne du Bois Juquaud". A lovely farm of former days. They say : "..it is a reminder of what was life like in the Vendee Breton Marshes during the early part of the 20th century". It now is used as a kind of museum. You can get an idea of how people lived then.

Made this little card while we were in France. The background is a leftover of a former project. I took some of those scraps with me on vacation. The stamp is by Hero Arts. I got it just before we left home, and I want to use it of course. I colored it with Derwent Color Soft Pencils. This is a photo of a evening walk along the borders of "Lac du Gue Gorand" .The light was so beautiful. You can't see it on this photo unfortunately. But it was an inspiration, thats for sure!

I want to share with you a photo of a white windmill somewhere along the cost of the Vendee. You can find them everywhere. It was situated on a lovely spot on top of a dune near the beach.

I like to show you a card I made with a Hero Arts stamp set I got a while ago. I paper pieced the presents. This was so fun to do. The note card is by Hero Arts. The kraft paper is by Papertrey Ink. The pattern paper is by My Minds Eye. Lovely paper to work with. It has small patterns wich are great for these small immages. The stamped frame is stamp by Waltzing Mouse and is cut out with Nestabilities and my Cuttlebug.

I want to show you some cards I made last week.

To be more precise : I made 23 cards! The cards are for some people of our church community who are moved into a new appartment in a new area in our village. I was asked to make the cards to welcome the people in this area.

The cards are made with the same colors, but they all are a little bit different. For the background I used Hero Arts background stamps. For the flowers I used my Cricut.

For this card I used one of my new stamps. The flower is called: Ruffled Flower. It is by Hero Arts. I colored this flower with the yellow rose -here beneath-in my thoughts. The yellow paper is also by Hero Arts. I love that paper because it seems to me that it has something of a chameleon; it fits in with the colors you use for the image...eeeh...hard to explain, you have to see it yourself! The gingham paper is stamped with a stamp by Waltzing Mouse. This is my favourite rose. It begins with a bud wich is soft peach. Later on, when the flower opens the color turns into soft yellow. And at the end the flower is almost white. I also like the heart of this rose.
