If I could give you a suggestion or idea I think men don't mind getting any cards with birds, animals, bicycle images( I know lawn fawn) has older stamp sets. If you stick to a manly color palette like blues or neutrals, those could work. Your ship image can also be used using it in a " water" scene. Even a city skyline type image is possible.
