Scheveningen

Today we went to Scheveningen. The weather was lovely, blue sky, and not cold at all. We walked along the water line with a vieuw on the "Pier van Scheveningen".

And here is my wonderful husband Jan.

And our children Casper and Jessica.

We ate delicious Pancakes..Mmmm...

And here we are together.

There was "Art"...for me that is just that something extra!

Typical dutch...isn't it... :) Harinkje eten.

And to top it all of we visted "Muzee Scheveningen", situated in an old renovated schoolbuilding, were you can find all kind of things of the sea, such as shells, crabs. But also historical clothes, littles boats, paintings.

We are thankfull for a wonderful day!!!

You are....

This is a card I made for my husband, since it is februari the 14th, Valentine's! We are married for almost 30 years, and we still love each other, are best friends, love to go out for a long walk, having a good conversation. And I honestly can say, that I am always looking forward to the moment he comes home. Thats what the sentiment on this card says. And more...he is very supportive as it comes to my love for stamping, creating and decorating.

The sketch I used for this card is a sketch wich can be found on Lucy's blog.

She gave 5 sketches and challenged us to make a card with these sketches. I used all 5 to make a card with and this is my final one. It actually is sketch number 2.
You can find it here:
http://www.lucys-cards.com/2014/01/lucys-cards-sketch-week-day-2.html
The "You" word is a die by Simon Say Stamp. And so is the banner, and are the stamps.
The wood veneer hearts are from Xenos.
The paper is by Pink Paisly and is called: Portfolio.
And the "are" letters are stickers I once got from Lucy herself :)
So fun! They match great with this paper.

Hope you liked your visit here!

Happy birthday

This is the fourth card I made for Lucy's Card Sketch Challenge. For this card I used her sketch number 4 and you can read more about this challenge here:
http://www.lucys-cards.com/2014/01/lucys-cards-sketch-week-day-4.html

The paper used is by Studio Callico.
The tag is cut with my Cricut, using the "Don Juan" cartridge. And the cup cake is stamped with Hero Arts stamps. Original this cup cake has a candle on it, but I cut it of and placed a cherry on top. Covered the cherry with glossy accents so it has a fun shine on it, like real cherries has.
The sentiment is also a stamp by Hero Arts.
Thanks for visiting!

You are loved

This card os made for Lucy's card sketch challenge day 3.
You can find it here:
http://www.lucys-cards.com/2014/01/lucys-cards-sketch-week-day-3.html

The base is this tag by Basic Grey.
I have it for years, and never know what to do with it, because of the kind of triangle shape. But as soon as I saw Lucy's sketch day 3 I knew I would use it. And it turned out lovely.

The heart is cut with a SSS die out of watercolorpaper colored with distress inks. After the heart was cut I covered it with stickles for some shine and after that had dried I added another layer of glossy accents.
The sentiment was stamped and die cut with a SSS set.
The little flower was made with my Cricut.

Thank you for visiting my blog!

Congratulations

This is a card made to welcome a new baby boy in our family.
For the layout of this card I used a sketch given by Lucy on her blog.
Sketch number 5 actually.

It is so fun to use these sketches, there are 5 of them on her blog , but I finished this one earlier so I could use it.
You can see and read more here:
http://www.lucys-cards.com/2014/01/lucys-cards-sketch-week-day-5.html

The paper I used is PapertreyInk dotted paper, and the sentiment is Hero Arts.
The babyclothes shapes are cut out with my Cricut, with the "Straight from the Nest" cartridge.
For the line I did a bit of sewing.

Fun isn't it?!

You Rock

Last week I found out that Lucy has a new "Sketch Challenge" on her blog. In the past she has had one and it was very fun to use her sketches. So, when I saw it this time again, I immediately started and here is my first card.

I used Lucy's first sketch for this card and it can be found here:
http://www.lucys-cards.com/search?updated-max=2014-01-24T10:55:00Z&max-results=30
There are 5 sketches and enough time to play with!
So, get started I would say!

Than, the paper I used is by My Minds Eye. LOVE paper by My Minds Eye! And the shapes are cut with my Cricut. The "You" word and the "rock" word are from a SSS stamp set.
And know what? The star button I got once from Lucy herself as part of a prize I got from her...fun or what...!
